This is such a beautiful song sung by one of the greatest singers that ever lived. I wish I would've had the chance to meet him when he was still with us. His voice touches my very soul!

I just got in from Baton Rouge. I had to be the only person from Louisiana leaving Baton Rouge right before the LSU-Auburn Game but I was there for a whole nuther reason....to visit my in laws. I am happy to report that I escaped alive and reduced my sister-in-law to tears. (Guess you could say another routine visit.) Heading to the wide screen now to watch dem Tigers; da LSU ones to beat dem Auburn ones. Enjoy your game!

Goes straight to the heart ... Background singers, music -- everything. One of the most beautiful voices of our times.

@DandJRuffin You happen to post your comment on my favorite song by Johnny Adams. He was great and yet, O feel his recognition here in New Orleans is quickly being forgotten.

@9thWardJukebox Well, you certainly do your share to keep that from happening. Keeping such artists as Johnny Adams from being forgotten, I keep blogging about this kind of music. I know I don't make a huge impact, but I try to do what I can (just as you do). On your channel I found so many of Johnny's songs I'd never heard before, and each and every one makes me admire his talent even more. Thanks.

@DandJRuffin The way things spread on the internet, there's no telling how many people we reach when we publish something. Sharing of our passion for this music is worldwide and I hear from a person just 6 blocks from my house and another in Norway on the same day on the same obscure song that is 60 years old. If there is a downside, it's sensory overload. Also, there is no way in the world I will live long enough to hear every song I own but that doesn't bother me because others will hear them.

@LJH70122 He was born in New Orleans. He died in Baton Rouge but I'm not sure when he moved there but throughout the world, he's considered the "Tan Canary from New Orleans.
