PAUSE THE VIDEO IF YOU NEED EXTRA TIME.

This video shows two uses of Lagrangian formalism; a pendulum on a moving cart and a particle in the electromagnetic field.

  • Hi, in my classical mechanics class we use T. W B. Kibble as text book, do you know where i can get some of the solutions for the problems in it? at least of the lagrangian mechanics chapter. That would help a lot.

I'd like to see more examples of solutions using lagrangian equations if you know where i can find it would help. thx

(sry for the bad english i'm not from usa)

  • I have that book! It is really good! However, I do not believe a solutions manual exist as their is no need for one it has every ANSWER in the back.

  • I don't understand what the s^2 is, you don't say what it is... And I didn't understand what are the generalized coordinates in this example... theta(t) and m(t)?

  • But i want to learn how to solve some of the problems that i couldn't by myself, so just the answer isn't what I'm looking for.
