  • I have had jerks and jolts in my legs, arms and some in my neck to the point i fall down. I have tried several meds to control my migraines as well one of the meds was depakote i had taken.

  • @guardian38761 Depakote is good, but long term effects triggered hyperammonia and we had to stop it.

  • I have watched several of your videos and I want to thank you for putting them up. They are very educational because you tell what's going on during the video. I know that taking care of James is so very difficult on the whole family, I've seen your side of it on some of your other vids. Bravo for you and your family.

  • @genmama1955 Thank you.

  • Thank you.. My daughter is 19 years old autistic. Myoclonic seizures could last for hours and turn into a grand mal. Epistatus (Midazolam) stops them quickly.Recenlty using acupressure and massage with lavender oil on legs and hands to calm her down. Success rate 2 out of 3 without Epistatus. 3 years ago,she started to have Myoclonic after replacing Epilim/ Lamictal with Keppra/Lamictal. After 4 months Keppra was stopped.Myoclonic seizures and hands trembles continue.

  • @chamounkl PLEASE be aware, Lamictal INCREASES myoclonus!! Lamicatal is good for drop or tonic clonic seizures BUT increases myolconic jerks/trembles. you have to mitigate it with Keppra or depakote. But keep in mind depakote causes gastrointestingal issues, alone with risk of hyperammonia, so have lactalose as PRn (when needed) to eliminate ammonia. Also, milk thistle herb protects liver.

  • I tape this because the public is IGNORANT about seizure activity in autistic populations, thus hurting the autism community and those who care for autistic persons with seizures. Moreover, my son can't speak for himself. He's like an infant in his mind. If you asked him, he would not answer. He's in his own sweet world. This is educational material. If one person learns something, it could protect an autistic person from getting hurt by people who don't get it.

  • poor fellow =-/ your a wonderful mother. it must be very difficult for you to deal with. God bless you and your family. I can tell he is well loved.

  • He wants into the kitchen? THAT PROVES IT THEN....autistic or not, the male species loves to EAT, EAT, EAT. :) This video made me want to give Jamey lots of hugs.

  • Does he know he his having seizures?

  • @kgaccount I have those jerks too, the only difference is I can speak up. When I don't take my meds for a certain amount of time I can have a big one and black out. I think you can have seizures while being consous. When you have jerks in your arms like that it feels like your touching electricty, but it doesn't hurt until you fall down. JME, I looked it up it's also called Janz syndrome, that's what wiki called it.

  • Get a syringe full of benzos and stab him with it.

  • thank you for the video - you and your son are amazing people! i hope he feels better.
