Why do all pianists insist on playing this piece at an impossible tempo ....only to fuck up the pulse? It's meant to be quavers in 3/4 and they are all adding an extra beat to each bar just because they are not fast enough to play those big chords in time.

technicaly, it is not bad. But there is no interpretation or emotion!! it is an spanish piece, where all is emotion and feelings... well done, but try to understand the piece and interpretate it.
Listen to Alicia de Larrocha's version, you'll se what i mean.

yeah!! that was amazing!!

Esta version en piano es muy buena pero a mi parecer carece de la pasion que solo una guitarra es capaz de brindar...

Each instrument has it's own beauty, this song sounds spaniard in guitar and piano version, and that's the reason why Albeniz had genius as a composer

La versión suena muy bien es magnífica. Lástima que hay otra gente interpretando la canción pero el sonido no ayuda.
It was actually written for piano by Albeniz, and only later transcribed and modulated for guitar; although the piano piece is supposed to be reminiscent of Spanish guitar :)
