  • Dam great trap.I have a question .OK you have this trap set and then a larger animal comes a long and take the bait off.I mean this is and easy to set up trap.I'm just thinking of other animals

  • @mogges1 It is all about trap placement and baiting for the target animal brother.

  • awesome trap, but it did bring a question to mind..somewhat unrelated. If ur in the wild and dont have a traditional fishing hook is there something else you can use. i do remember seeing something awhile back about how to use a sharpened bone or twig to make something to snag up in a fishes gills or throat. figured you might have some knowledge about it or know someone you could ask. would appreciate any help you can offer..thanks

  • @wildernessoutfitters The bigger the animal... Awesome video Dave. You set multiple traps in a reliance situation. Some are productive some aren't. What if when you set the "Y", you used two separate sticks straight in the ground then tie them together. Maybe a better brace? You are doing it and I appreciate the education! I may try this in my back yard. Thanks.

  • neck knife?

  • This is great for survival. But I have some very old toggle reels that work in the same way that are probably illegal because fish and game are bureaucratic assholes.

  • @huntingsurvival No problem. I know a few tricky baits. If you take some bread and get it to freeze and then leasve it outand it will start to stink then put peanut butter on it's a pretty powerful dove/sparrow/housefinch

  • @123m456k bread dough?? im gonna try that ! thank you

  • Dave, I have found great bait for birds mostly english or european sparrows you use bread dough and peanut butter I caught a bunch of sparrows with that bait

  • great vid dave u never cease to amaze me a trap we can use for both fish and game as you say two is one and one is none.

  • One question do your hands ever get tired from tieing so many knots?
