@jasonbittner I currently play a Pearl Vision Vx 8-Piece Double Bass Drum Kit, and have fallen in love with tamas, ever since I heard you play them. Would you recommend me to get a tama set? If so, which one should I get? And what pedals? And i use meinl cymbals, should i switch those too? Let me know what you think.

You are my biggest inspiration when it comes to metal. You have awsome groove in those blasts ect.
How do you tune your drumheads? snare, toms and bass when it comes to how tight you put them on?

@Roger17drummer well to be honest, i tune my drums to a medium tension, basically as loose as possible without rippiling, then I tune them up a half turn around each lug

you are 100% correct, it's exactly grip tape (lowes/home depot) meant for stair treads,
A lot of people think I do it to "Hide" the dw logos, I've been doing this with any pedal I've played since the late 90's. I've had way too many shows where I've accidently knocked a bottle of water onto the kick pedals, they get soaked, and then my feet slide all over the place making songs a pain to play. This prevents that from happening.
