The machine itself came with a sample of 12 different flavors of coffee so I could see which ones i like. My favorites are the Tully's Kona and Coffee People Doughnut House blend (as well as the seasonal Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice and Green Mountain Gingerbread flavors). But back to the machine...
My husband and I weren't really coffee drinkers when we bought the machine. In fact, we didn't even own a coffee machine. We would just go to a local coffee house if ever we needed a wake up. Then it hit: middle 20s. Waking up was hard to do (says Folgers) and we needed a daily helper. But as a household that only drank one cup each per morning, how wasteful it was to brew an entire pot daily. That's where the Keurig came in to play.
This baby brews one cup at a time. PERFECT for people like me that only need one cup before they are forced out the door to start work.
Keurig has become quite a big thing since I purchased and now there are a ton of choices for machines (and even more for coffee flavors!) But this review will focus on the machine i know and have. The B60. It can give you plain hot water, coffee, hot chocolate or even make an iced beverage in under a minute. It is stylish with chrome accents and a blue backlit LCD display. You can program the water temperature, set the clock and even have the machine automatically turn on/off at any desired time of day. It also has three cup size choices (6 oz, 8 oz and 10 oz). There is also a removable 48 oz water reservoir and a removable drip tray to better accommodate larger cup sizes.
A trick i have learned to fill up the 12-16 oz travel mugs is this: put in your desired pod, press the 10 oz button. Once it has finished brewing, lift up the lever and put down again (leaving the used pod in there) and then press the 6 oz button. That way you get more bang for your buck. Yes, that last little bit is watered down, but...i don't really care to be honest. I also let the machine brew into a measuring cup for that second round (because sometimes the cup will overfill depending on which one i use). I have had company spokespeople tell me to use 2 pods to fill up the larger cups, but for 2 oz of water i'm not about to waste a $0.55+ pod. So...i recycle. :)
Another tip that I never really clued in on until just recently: WASH YOUR TANK. Yep. This might be obvious to some of you (or maybe most of you and i'm just a dummy) but i never washed the tank. Not once. I didn't see why i needed to. It never got dirty. And i was always filling it up with fresh water. But then i noticed something one day...greenish brown stringy things. ALGAE. Yes - algae was growing in the tank and i didn't even notice. (who's fully awake at 6:00 a.m. to really take note? Not me, obviously). So i urge you all - once a week, put a bit of dish soap in the tank, some hot water and scrub it out gently with a dish brush. Trust me.

1,500 W, 120VAC / 60Hz, 12 lbs empty. The dimensions are 13"H x 9.8"W x 13.3"D.
One other thing. The machine is loud. like jackhammer loud. But isn't a coffee grinder just as loud and annoying, just at a higher frequency?? And it lasts only a minute so i can put up with it. I never take the cup off the drip tray until after the machine has re-filled itself with water, it gets teeth-grinding loud, so just be patient.
