During the first week of school I hold a meeting for the parents to introduce them to the 2.0 tools we use since it is the first time any of their kids will use them in class. Not only are they walking into a class that integrates technology and distance collaborations, but my class is probably the most non-traditional PBL classes in a very traditional school system so hearing everything at once sometimes freaks them out. In an attempt to let them know I will not be damaging their kids I was considering showing them this video that includes comments from last years kids. What do you think? Good/bad idea? Too conceited? This is a total rough draft so any input is appreciated.
