  • @strandman220 I typically use 0.015 inch but 0.013 would work fine too

  • Strandman220 - Casting does take some practice. It helps to start with a shorter leader and work your way up to the longer leader system. You can shorten the leader system by shortening the butt sections, just try to maintain the 2:1 ratio of the 20:15 lb test. It helps to use a slower casting motion and open up your loops too. A longer rod, 9 to 10-foot also helps to pick the line off the water and get it moving. To make the sighter start with 12" to 18" of mono, it will end being 6" to 9"

    How do you cast a leader this long with no weight?

    Also what is the size of the sighter..?
