Bryan Safi's "That's Gay" segment discovers one realm where gay men are proudly (and loudly) overrepresented - judging reality shows. From Bruno Taglioni on "Dancing With The Stars" to Adam Shankman on "So You Think You Can Dance," from Michael Kors on "Project Runway" to Derek J on "Hair Battle Extravaganza," every self-respecting reality show needs someone gay rocking the gavel. Friendly warning to members of our live studio audience: Don't mention border collies or Bryan will toss you from his salon. (You know, the room next to the conservatory. Oh, just watch already.)

That's Gay is a recurring segment on the weekly television show infoMania. In each episode of That's Gay, Bryan Safi explores gay issues and stereotypes as they are portrayed by the clueless media. For more Bryan visit http://current.com/groups/thats-gay/ and Current TV.

infoMania is a half-hour satirical news show that airs on Current TV, now shot live in front of a studio audience. The show puts a comedic spin on the 24-hour chaos and information overload brought about by the constant bombardment of the media. Hosted by Conor Knighton and co-starring Brett Erlich, Erin Gibson, Ben Hoffman, Bryan Safi and Sergio Cilli, the show airs on Thursdays at 11/10c on Current TV.

  • Please ditch the laugh track.. it detracts from what's a good segment!

  • Who ever invented the laugh track should be fired, it's insulting the viewer bc i'ts implying that the viewer is too dumb to even know when to laugh!

  • @RyanM4N I own a huge HDTV but don't even have a cable box hooked up to it. I have my computer hooked up to it.

  • @Fireflygamer Yeah. I don't like it. This is probably why I don't like very many shows on tv. I don't even own a tv haha

  • @RyanM4N because like most TV people on reality TV (epically the judges) are playing characters and this is how the media portrays homosexuals, if they just acted like straight people how can they tell the difference. They are playing up the stereotypes, ether on purpose or the producers pick the flamers that are over dramatic in order to get people to watch. as with most things its all about money and for TV ratings = money.

  • why do gay judges have to be so ridiculous?

  • Fuck, that laugh track is annoying.

  • Huh. This is the first "That's Gay" segment I've actively disliked. Bryan sounds like he's playing up to the audience, and ... well, it just doesn't work, mate. Really.

  • @ReiGrim I'm pretty sure it's not a laugh track. I think they filmed with an audience.

  • Haha last part is the best. xD
