A friend of mine told me he met a guy a few years back who was hit by one of those things and survived, he was close to shore and somehow they got vinegar on him immediately which suposedly kills the venom, but he said it was like getting your skin constantly burned with a blowtorch, that`s how bad the pain is. Can you imagine? I mean just put your hand over a candle for a few seconds, now imagine it over a blowtorch. When I heard that, I was F- that, the only swimming I do now is in a pool.

The vinegar doesnt do anything to the venom. All it does is stop any unfired stingers from firing and making it worse, but it doesnt do anything about the ones that have already fired off their venom.
