Brian Cowen is a class act who totally packed in politics & was paid 310.000 Euro for his first year after leaving office, while the secretary general of the Department of the Taoiseach Dermot McCarthy retied on 500.000 + for his first year. With a dissolution of the parliament having taken place on Tuesday February 1st 2011 and where the general election was held Friday February 25th 2011. As a SOUTHERN Irishman, I find it RACIST AND IGNORANT to refer to a president of SOUTHERN Ireland as "president of Ireland". Ulster is our OLDEST PROVINCE and does not get a look in when voting for a president comes around.
