  • At 2.21 urban pumper drives over a hose! they are not cheap. I would get a smack around the ears if i did that at my brigade. nice vid though

  • Point Cook pumper had been called to another job - they advised the MFB crew who released pressure from their hose so no damage would be caused when the pumper drove over it. I have found it's always best not to pass judgement on other peoples actions unless you are fully aware of all the details.

  • Why didn't they stay on scene and have Hoppers turn out?

I still don't understand how the CFA just releases appliances at a job, rather than respond the next nearest appliances to a new job.

  • As far as I'm aware the pumper had already been released and the crew was in the process of making up when the second job came through. Point Cook pumper wouldn't have been responded if it was still involved in the initial job.

  • How did you get so close too the house I thought they would have blocked it off anyway great vid.

  • Good question Casper. I actually work for CFA Public Affairs department so I have permission to be on the fireground.

  • up until when did the mfb primarily use scania's instead of the international accos?

  • wow

  • @chechnya Mmmmm...thought it was the firefighters that put out fires... seems I was wrong.

It's not just the equiptment but how you use it.

  • @k2svpete Using more and more duraline cause it doesn't need to be dried like canvas.

  • you should work for channel ten

  • @chechnya

We have American trucks here. They are the worst pieces of junk ever to have served in this country. The International ACCO and Scania trucks are a cut above the Freightliner / America La France trucks.

  • @chechnya In Britain, our appliances are smaller than the US but mainly because if they were the size of US machines, they wouldn't fit through our streets- not because they're meant to fight smaller fire. We a lot more fires, per fire station, in the UK than the US.

  • wish they had cfa over here in NZ aswell no offence 2 the nzfs but you guys are way better

  • Great videos. However, your trucks seem weak. They look like European style fire apparatus meant to fight smaller structures. Australia looks very similar to the USA so you need some beefier apparatus :D
