@Coleshill1 i agree this takes me back too life seemed better then not a rat race and yes i do think people were more friendly than today this is great
wonderful days, when kids were kids, and played out, and were a little nieve, no computer games, moms where always there, and dad went to work all day, also mom put dinner on the table when dad got home,and we had a lovely meal together , life was a little more simple., i was born in 1964, i think my childhood was better than nowdays , and the kids tv too..x
This was my favourite episode too. I love Richard Baker's narration and the way that they didn't dumb things down, but used "long" words like inquisitive. Brilliant telly.
This episode always stuck in my mind too. I can't have seen this since about 1969. I remember being very excited about Mungo and Midge getting in the lift.
