  • That's the plan, divide the middle east into smaller ethnic sectors at war with each other and let the world leading power take the OIL and let Israil be the biggest american base there.

  • Another in depth expose by mister Hersh.

  • Even if Mr. Hersh can't prove what he says, the reality of what is occurring goes a long way towards conceding he is absolutely correct. Research what he says backwards and you will assuredly find yourself disturbed and perplexed, especially if you are an American. One of the best things ever written on the Middle East dilemma as it currently remains, even without the allegations of additional funding. Congrats to the Iraqis on their recent elections. Maybe Israel and the US can not screw it up.

  • The accompanying lack of favorable US sentiment for the most recent election results would have been the icing on the cake for this article and go the extra mile in demonstrating the hypocrisy of American foreign policy in the Middle East. Put another decade in the books; 6 and counting. The complete and total lack of appreciation for the air of secularism and moderation, as well, damages not only the region, adding to factionalization, but brings it back to occupied Israel as well.

  • It is serious business. Mr. Hersh will forever be ingrained in analysis of the Middle East. His article was phenomenal; I wish I had know about it years ago. Beyond the ethical factors, or illegalities, what it demonstrates best is conveying the absurd nature of American inconsistencies with respect to the group from country to country and region to region. US policy is the most factionized and illusory variable at work. Too bad it was written before recent Iraqii election results.

  • Petty israeli shill.

  • seki1986 were you a mercenary?

and what with the adolecent children uploads on you page.

    It's a little odd.

Are you a pedophile or grandparent trolling for investigative journalist, to denigrate. The ones that report on assassins, misguided brutality at the hands covert government misconduct? Are you a right wing commando retired from Latin America? I don't get it El Tigritos and death squad investagators??? What's your story?

  • His work first gained worldwide recognition in 1969 for exposing the My Lai Massacre and its cover-up during the Vietnam War, for which he received the 1970 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting. His 2004 news breaking reports on the U.S. military's mistreatment of detainees at Abu Ghraib prison gained much attention. Hersh is an alpha dog of investigative journalism.

  • what ma name is hersh too
