Almost Friday - On Point For the Nation

Formed in October 2007, Almost Friday is a five-member classic and modern rock band from Salem, Oregon which features First Sgt. Rodney Galloway on guitar and vocals, Ryan Slack on lead guitar and vocals, Steve Cannon on guitar and vocals, Jon McClain on bass guitar and Sgt. Maj. Chuck Kovitch on drums.

On Point for the Nation was written for the Army National Guard by Kovitch, a member of the Recruiting and Retention Command for the Oregon Army National Guard. Galloway, also a member of the Recruiting and Retention Command, along with Ryan Slack, provided the music to the lyrics.

On Point for the Nation, the first single released by Almost Friday, hit i-Tunes and other music stores on June 30, 2008. The single is an included track on the band's upcoming album, "Beyond this Point", set for release in early summer 2009.
