My older sister pretends to be a kid trick-or-treating and I pretend to be the responsible chaperone. We hit the wealthy neighbourhoods in hopes that they'll reward us with awesome candy- to no avail. If there's anything to be learned, it's that Bourdieu's Distinction was absolutely spot on. The Bourgeoisie don't care for large portions of food and care to eat only aesthetically pleasing, ornate things- and apparently only give out tiny, shitty candy, whereas the working man- the houses in the less wealthy neighbourhoods gave out fly sweets- like entire chocolate bars. What is up with that?
