@WatchdogDisciple the part that this guy is holding is the scruff it is how this little guys mum would have held them so people shouldn't moan i have had 7 dwarfs and always picked them up like this no pain caused

THAT IS NOT YOU OR ANEY ONE SHOULD HOLD A HAMSTER
-
@kenz461 No it's not animal abuse. The hamster is no in ANY pain, he's simply scared. Pay attention to his actions, He shows his teeth and hisses slightly, as a warning, He's saying "Let me go!" Because he's scared.

the reason he must be sqeaking is becuase hes new to the world

It might be uncomfortable for them but it shouldn't be painful. Its best to avoid holding them by the scruff of the neck if possible, and if you must never for a long period of time. Ive got 3 robos, 1 is unsocial and doesn't like being handled so i leave him alone. My 2nd hammy is getting too old to be handled and luckily my 3rd is very social and loves to be played with. Some hammies are social and some aren't, its just the luck of the draw.

@SDJosephs Doesn't pulling by the scruff of the neck hurt them once they're no longer babies? My hamster hates to be picked up that way. She swings around and tries to nip me. I just let her walk onto my hand, then I pull her out.
omg.... Why can't you people do your research before you comment?! He's NOT hurting the little guy. If you don't believe it then don't but don't comment on thing you (obviously) don't know about. Ok? Thanks.
