For Sir Charles Mackerras who has just died. The most wonderful opera conductor ever. He was such fun to work on 'Noyes Fludde' & 'The Turn of the Screw'. Don't think I could have done it without him!

I have always wanted to sing 'Elsa's Dream' from 'Lohengrin' by Richard Wagner and now thanks to Garageband I have my opportunity! it is such toe tingling music especially the Hollywood Strings when the 'Knight in Shining Armour' makes his appearance. Glorious!

The dancers Katy Smythe and Dale Pengelly appeared in 'Dance Tales Story Ballets' which I made for TV and the choreography is by Philip Chatfield. I am fortunate to have left over footage and it fits very well as Lohengrin is after all a fairytale of a maiden in distress and a knight who did not live up to expectations. How true!
