RBSD groin attack escapes

Great rebuttal wvdmc. People who think that ball-punching/grabbing, pinching, eye gouges, etc... will magically get you out of a bad position (mount bottom, side control bottom, back control, etc...) are instilling a false sense of confidence in themselves and their students which is incredibly dangerous.
Back when all of that was legal in the first UFC's, we quickly saw just how ineffective it was. Look up "joe son ball punch" and witness the effect of ball punching when adrenaline is flowing.

@theawakener7 Oh yes - it's clearly not about egos - this video is a calm, considered response, and you nearly spat your tongue out insulting him in response - in truth, because he 'dared' to question you, and you consider yourself a holy messenger. The fact is, as with your 'sparring' videos, you have no actual full contact clips that show any of this working - and your response won't be one either. *to all* - youtube doesn't allow you to post links, even to other utube vids.

Thumbs up for putting it all on the line for our edification. And this just proves what those who've been in actual street fights know: ball-shot victories are borderline urban myth. This was a calm situation...in a real scrap, adrenaline dulls the pain even more. I've used the knee-to-balls and it wasn't anywhere near as effective as elbow to face or fist-to-gut.

Well done

cont...search for "paul vunak enigma" he shows some ground work there with other techniques, namely biting the nose/ears while kneeing the inside of the thigh or groin and if you have some skill it is possible to choke the guy at the same time, theres then also the uppem (i duno how its spelt) from which you can clinch the head while gouging the eyes, or just hold their head in place with an arm round the neck while elbowing the throat and poking the eyes, look at them, then respond if you want

op was pwnd

HAHAHAH Me and my REAL JKD friends were laughing sooooooo hard when he showed that!
Its not going to work, youre just going to get your face caved in for even trying it LOL

Exactly. Those traditional guys and so called "JKD instructors" havent got a clue.
They need to wake up to reality.
you say "use a proven technique that works", y dont u show us 1, yeah your counter locks and ground work works in a cage fight with rules. i did notice you never used any of the other techniques that awanener suggested. I agree that awakeners vid was pathetic and his techniques wouldnt work, however the techniques I learnt in jkd do seem to work when i use them for real. you have proven 1 jkd instructor is wrong about 1 technique, however we have many other ways of getting out of this.

@mrperson722 I wasn't attacking JKD, just techniques that rely on hitting the balls and, more specifically, TheAwakener's ridiculous claims about escaping mount and arm bars by smashing the balls. I plan on addressing the rest of the techniques in his video, probably this Monday.

@wvdmc sorry 4 late reply, can you direct me to your other vids? I wana see thoughts on different techniques etc. Also I did notice you flinched every time he hit your groin, which is what it is for. That awakeners guy does seem retarded and doesnt understand the flinch response but if you want to see proper jkd ground tatics try paul vunak, he demonstrates the follow up to this, which is only used as a way of distracting the opponant long enough to maim them (or kill if you so wish).

@mrperson722 From the bottom of the mount a flinch is not going to be helpful, especially if you have to lower your hands away from your face to illicit that flinch response. The upa mount escape that you describe is much more helpful, and it improves your position without sacrificing your face.
Also realize if you are lowering your hands from your face in the mount, you are opening yourself to eye gouges, which are much easier to make from the top than the bottom, flinch or not.
