Joe, you know I have had both and for pure offroad performance Unimogs rule the Roost! My 6x6 Pinzi was pretty sexy though1
Nice to see, but not very exciting. Unimogs were developed around 1950 in particular for the foresters in the high alpine mountains.

@pedowife4kids Earlier then that. First designs were back in the mid 1940s. This model began rolling off the lines in 1955. The design only hand minor changes as they built the same 404 model up until the 1980s. That shows some serious demand in a vehicle and it's capabilities to make the same vehicle for nearly 30 years straight.
You won't see that in a modern vehicle where they're designed to survive just long enough for you to pay off the loan and buy the next model.

Ahh, I could watch such MOG-Videos all day long, watching and drinking a couple of beers... such a fun. Much better than watching TV.
Regards from Bavaria, where the Unimog is a common, ordinary working vehicle at farms and for the forest.

@rrreinhard I wish they were more common here. I only know of about 5 in Las Vegas and a few more next town over.

Mog vs Pinz? I'd say Unimog. I mean I am sort of biased but for rock crawling, solid axles, 40" tires Unimog all the way.

@monki600 Going down is easy, going up was the hard part. I have a video of that somewhere... I'll see if I can find it and post it up.
