In a year a new Technology would be developed.
Waterfall .. TDD .. BDD ... then something else.
In Java a new baby is born every 9 months :)
Struts, Stripes, Spring MVC, Seam, JSP, JSF, Hibernate, iBatis, EJB, Spring, Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere, Sun App Server, JBoss and many databases.
People no longer focus on business needs but on latest technology. Managers sell technology more than business logic and companies are happy getting new technology, whether applied properly or not.

I like this video, very helpful. I'm not a coder so didn't understand some of the items mentioned, but as a QA, the process made MUCH more sense to me (even after reading up on it in Wiki I was still lost! Very helpful and consise - thankyou!
