Sumatran Tigers

The Sumatran Tiger is the smallest of the 5 remaining subspecies of tigers. There are only about 450 of them left in the whole world with only about half of those in the wild. These big cats have webbed feet and are excellent swimmers. Unless many more people work hard NOW to Save the Sumartran Tiger in the wild it will go extinct just like the Caspian Tiger, the Javan tiger and the other lost tiger as well. Extinction is forever. Some sightings of Javanese Tigers still reported. I climbed Mount Semeru few years ago and season climbers refused to camp at Kali Mati Post because they were afraid of tigers.

Indonisia has lost Bali Tiger and Javan Tiger. I hope the Sumatran Tigers will not be gone with its cousins.

@outforjustice3350 The javan tiger has been extinct since the 70's. The Caspian tiger and the bali tiger are also extinct. The sumatran is probably the next one in line.
