"Your coming to Israel on Nefesh B'Nefesh is more powerful than anything we have in the Israel Defense Forces. Your being here today overshadows the powerful might of our air force, navy and ground forces. Your professional, personal and cultural contributions to Israel transcend anything we might have and insure our future as a Jewish and democratic state for generations to come."

- Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert

  • but your missing one thing, Israel has always been the land for the Jews. Arabs haven't always lived there. You're going to have to do a little more research before making a comparison like that. And you're also forgetting that Jordan kicked the "Palestinians" out and They settled in Israel Later on.

  • aliya can be for the adventure but dont forget to say israel is a good life

like LA to the east of ny or miami to the south, israel is a great neighborhood a lil to the east

  • @tmirell Jews ???? are not a race. Arabs have always lived there for generations, if jew move to russia they have no right to return to palestine 1000s of years later just like Americans cannot go to london and start demanding an new country.Jews are safe in america they should not be bitches and take land from Palestinians

  • Look, Israeli government, you cannot have your cake and eat it too so take in all non-religious American Jewish men into Israel in order so that there will not be religious imposition in the first place!

  • I am also outraged that even the Israeli Government complains that is is the religious Jews who are moving permanently to Israel that, nevertheless, the Israeli Consulate in New York refuses to grant immigrant's visas to Israel to non-religious American Jewish men who have no college degree and no skills!

  • The Israeli Government is supposed to make Israel capable of supporting all of us Jews in the Land of Israel instead of depending upon charity from fellow Jews who live outside of Israel!

  • I am a Jewish man who was born in and lives in New York City, New York, USA. I am outraged that the Jewish Agency for Israel refuses to give approval of aliyah to American Jewish men who do not have a college degree and do not have any job skills and thus cannot get a job in Israel that earns enough money to pay the rent in Israel and thus the Jewish Agency for Israel and the Consulate General of Israel in New York refuses to give them immigrants visa to Israel!

  • Is there an upper age limit to do this program? I already did Sar El back in 1985 and loved it. Now I am 53 and my son is off to college. Thanks!

  • I live in USA 30 years. I feel so lonely here in Brooklyn. I know that in Israel life NOt easy, but here in NY it is emotionally also very very difficult and lonely. I would like to comeback to Israel if I would have money...Home is Home
