@Mrhunteriffic oh wow, let me try to remember. This was done on a Roland RD-GX700 with all its built in sounds (no modifications). It was made with four layers.
Full Strings 2 on Left-hand1, and Right-hand1.
Nylon Guitar for Lift-hand2, and Flute for Right-hand2.
The trick to getting it to sound right is that the Guitar received the pedal input (sustain) while the flute did not. Both string parts receive sustain signals.
Took some practice to play left hand as sustained and right without. XD

@Mrhunteriffic Thank you for watching! And really what it comes down to is just doing it until you get it. I spent many summer vacations back in High School and College just figuring stuff out that I still use today. I still spend many should-be-spent-more-productively hours figuring stuff out. So its never too late or early to start!

@snowwolfsabertooth Sorry, I don't do sheet music of my covers :(, but yes I do play by ear and chord reading. I'm still rather challenged at sight reading :)
