A friend here on Maui gigs around the islands (both Maui and Big Island) playing both the Stick and Warr guitars - Joe Conti. Cool instruments. This studio looks like Barefoot (as in Taylor) Studios. I think the "Specialized" water bottle - for bike riding - gives it away.

@metalboy5150 check out kevin keith. He masters as both guitar and bass !

Actually, it's got 12 strings (some Chapman Sticks have 10), and where do you get the idea that only bass players use it? More than just bass players use the Chapman Stick, Levin just happens to be A bass player who uses it, and plays it more like different kind of bass. Most Stick players don't do that.

@Casey: Cool that you got Tony to play a session. The man's a genius.
As to the "why Tony doesn't use the six guitar strings much?" the answer is I think he doth protest a bit too much here. There are plenty of Crim songs where Tony's playing a rhythm part, e.g., Waiting Man. It's even more apparent in his solo material from World Diary or In the Caves of the Iron Mountain.
