  • Yes! Expanded shale works GREAT! I used it to amend my clay soil. (I posted a video on it.)

  • Hello John, I am starting my first garden this year and I too have clay soil. I cut the layer of grass off the top but haven't tilled it yet and it seem to puddle up when it rains. Should I use all four of the things you talked about or should I just say the heck with it because it floods "I live on a hill and the only place for the garden is at the bottom". I would really appreciate any advice you may have. Thanks.

  • this is great! i live in central texas and started my first gardens this year (one veggie and one flower) and i just wish i found this video when i started, instead of planting things that won't grow... oh well, you live, you learn, you do it differently next year.

  • Thanks for the soil imp. tips!

    John
