GTI 2.0t is not 200WP, they are rated 200hp at the crank, Big difference.
BTW not every one can afford at new GTI !

-
Is that sound standard on VW beetles ?

Nice video... I like the sound of the charger, not overpowering! Did you do the install yourself? If so, did you find any of it difficult?

what's your advice on car insurance considering you have a s/c?

Keep your stock parts so you can go get your supercharger if the car gets written off. ;o) Your premiums wouldn't go up since (around here anyway) they go my the number of cylinders and not by measured horsepower.

I have a K&N cone and a magnaflow 2.25" catback. Stock brakes are holding up fine, I don't hit higher speeds than I used to so the amount I use them is the same pretty much. The SC makes 0-60 (0-100km/h) a lot more fun, on the highway it's just like a really fast NA motor since it's always in boost.

Some people make stupid comments. If all he can afford is a S/C for his Beetle, then why make a comment about purchasing a GTI, new vehicle? If he could afford to, he would've done it already. Jesus. How's the beetle doing now bro?

The car is working fantastic! I'm really happy with it, I can hang with my friend's 12v VR6 on the highway and he only pulls away slowly when we're both giving 'er.
