Wow I would like to celebrate my 20-year-old birthday in a similar fashion, although we don't have anything like this in Denmark. I still think it's a neat tradition ^_~

I just turned 20 eight days ago. It would have been neat to do something like this on my birthday. Im male, so I wouldnt walk around in a female kimono of course. Maybe something like what Katsumoto in the Last Samurai wore when he visited the emporer. I realize id look rediculous here in the US, but its neat to think about. Hmm...I guess I should have worn my black suit. Oh well :). Do males in Japan dress up on Seijinnohi or is it just the females?
