Okay, back into serious mode. So here's Magician Lord, a launch title for the Neo Geo MVS and AES. A cult classic, I got into this one recently. You're a "magician" named Elta out to stop an evil wizard Gal Agiese from resurrecting the god of destruction, Az Atorse. But who exactly was this guy who threatened you before each boss battle? Allow me to show you.

Let's face it, THIS guy is what you remembered the most about Magician Lord, or was the reason you played the game, in some bizarre anticipation as to what weird nonsensical stuff he'd say next. So I made a collection of his memorable quotes. Elta doesn't know who he's dealing with!

"I'm destined just to die." That's nice, thanks. I'm surprised that hasn't turned into an emo catchphrase. Oh wait...

And there are people who claim his Japanese voice sounds even worse.

Anyway, I bring to you the most memorable and greatest arcade-speaking villain-you-never-fight in the history of nineteen-ninety-something, in all his enjoyable glory filled with his electric award-winning voice acting. I wonder how impressive that might have seemed when the game first launched...

By the way, I ripped all the graphics and recreated the motions from scratch, in case you wonder why things don't look as nice. And we don't have his extreme reverb effect from the Classics collection.

I love that guy so much. I got Magician Lord from the Wii Virtual Console and fell in love with this villain. He needs to be in more games.
