This unoversal sufi stuff is not the real Sufism, real Sufism is passed down a from a long line of great Muslims to the now times. This universal sufism is quite contrary to that.

Hazrat Inayat Khan came from a Chishti sufi lineage. I am grateful for what he taught us. True, a majority of sufis have been muslims, but it is not imperative to profess Islam in its sociological form in order to benefit from this Path. True, not everything that is sold as "Sufism" can pass the test, but the message of Hazrat Inayat Khan is constructive. Sufism adopted the form of Islam, because it developed within a muslim sociohistoric context. But this changed for the good with Inayat Khan.
