Spink - Banknotes of South East Asia Sale

This June Spink Banknote department are proud to present their largest sale to date. With over 1400 lots from several private collections we have amassed a fabulous sale, highlights of which include excellent groups of Belgian Congo, South African, Irish and old Welsh Private Banks. Additional groups include a colourful collection of French Colonial issues, a wide range of Ceylon, Indian, English and Scottish notes. Individual notes of particular interest include a group of four George V 100 rupees from Calcutta, Bombay and Cawnpore, all fresh and about EF which should attract considerable interest. Also of special mention are a West Yorkshire Bank Limited specimen of a £5 note, a truly spectacular example of Waterlow engraving and two emergency issue Seychelles 5 rupees in excellent condition.
