With the exp. pedals, do they need their own button? I'm guessing so? So activate then wah right?

They need a button because the effect style is decided and tweaked at that button. You need a button to choose if the pedal will control volume or wah or length of your delay time or tremolo functions or whatever. The pedal is like a pedal knob that you control with your foot. The user still has to call up a "pedal style" for the expression pedal to work.

Thanks....I think that Line 6 really thought this pedal out very well. I don't mind high gain tones but it seemed to me like there were one hundred M9 Videos on YouTube where guys play with lots of gain and do the U2 "multiple echo" tones. The M9 does a whole lot more.....it does so many classic pedal tones. I had to do a tutorial for old farts like me! Have a great day, John

Can you use this line 6 m9 in wherever amp and sound the same or jus in defined amps???

The M9 works with any amp.....just like any effects pedals will work with many amps.
