It's also worth pointing out that a few years later Clough won the League with Forest losing only 3 games and gaining two more points than Revie had in his final season.
Despite his chances of winning the League better than Revie had been dismissed...Clough was right all along.
And whatever Leeds fans say about him, they missed out...and I'm very glad they did as I'm a Forest fan!

I believe England could of won the world cup with Clough as manager.....but because he was so outspoken against members of the FA comittee...he sadly never got the chance....only now do we realise that Clough was a genius.

Redredred. Absolutely Clough was a great manager, one of the best. I still would not have wanted him to stay at Leeds, thats my opinion, his attitude to the players he inherited was all wrong, we are talking about Bremner, Giles, Reaney, Cooper, Hunter, Gray, Lorimer, not some tin pot nobodies. You are a "Reds" fan ? I do not expect you to understand why I did not want him at Leeds. Best wishes all the same !

I'm a leeds fan but he was not given a chance. He may not have acted in the right way but if the players had seen past there own egos and actually accepted him we would have been possibly the best english club ever. For fuck sake the man decked roy keane with a punch. Now thats the man that would have made us the best. On a different note grayson is doing a damned fine job.

Would not have wanted Clough to stay, he insulted the players in the best team Leeds ever had. Sure he worked a miracle at Forest but that does not mean it would have occurred at Elland Rd .

Ultimately Brian would win the league and do it better than Revie did, (with European titles to boot,) just not with Leeds.
