Stockholm Travel Series: Stockholm City Hall (Stadshuset) Part 6 -Golden Hall Detailed Look

The Golden Hall of the Stockholm City Hall has many historically themed mosaics such as this one of Queen Christina of Sweden. Christina became Queen of Sweden in 1632 at a young age, but abdicated the throne in 1654 and moved to Rome. This mosaic shows her meeting the Pope with her crown in hand.
