A suicide bomb attack in Pakistan has rocked a local community. 22 people were killed in the blast.
Distraught relatives and friends wail and beat their chests outside a religious center in the Pakistani city of Chakwal.
About 2,000 people had gathered at the Shi'ite religious center for a ceremony when a suicide bomber struck.
At least 22 people were killed, relatives rushed to the scene as the cost in human life became clear.
Pakistani Ary TV channel showed video of people rushing out of a mosque after the suicide bomber blew himself up.
The attack at a gathering of minority Shi'ite Muslims came a day after pilotless U.S. drone aircraft killed 13 people including militants and a suicide bomber killed eight soldiers in the
capital Islamabad.
Prime Minister Yusaf Raza Gilani said it seemed to be masterminded by people who were against Pakistan and who wanted to bring a bad name to Islam.
[Yusaf Raza Gilani, Pakistani Prime MInister]:
"We have to see whether a foreign hand is involved in what is happening here, because there are certain powers that do no want to see stability in Pakistan. Those powers do not want Pakistan to prosper because they are against Pakistan. For this reason, you will also have to help in
identifying these people because this is your country also."
Surging militant violence has raised fears for nuclear-armed Pakistan's prospects, a year after a civilian government came to power ending eight years of military rule.
