A misfire, which then results in the engine check light coming on, the misfiring stops but then there is electrical noises coming from the distributor itself.

  • Dose the engien shake on the 92 prelude I'm geting it sounds like that and the guy said it was the cyclender or something

  • haha this is old but that that sounds like rod knock

  • ever figure out what went wrong? this is how my car sounds right now, w.o the whole electrical noise thingy.

  • the same noice was coming from my prelude and the rotor was worn out then it wore out the distributor itself so i replaced the whole thing

  • open the distributor cap and see if the rotor brush is on there.. the ticking sound is maybe your lifters need adjusting.....
