my mother's side originates from pakistan and my fathers side is from india(kashmir)/nepal. mind you i have no bias towards india i think india is being destroyed by it's own people. pakistan is even worse. Kashmir was a great place until pakistan and india started fighting. the muslims were given a great amount of land and a lot of people sacrificed for land. and now they want kashmir? why can't they humble themselves. because of their desire over kashmir india and pakistan stripped kashi!!!

British lasted for 200 years in India. Before the Mogul did 1000 years of rule. They didn't last THIS LONG like all empires as Mongols, and Romans with ill treatment on the conquered civilizations.

and ON WHAT HISTORIC GROUNDS do you say that? The only MASS RAPES that do happen is because of the Indian occupational forces that commit crimes on a daily basis on them and UNASKED. And then the fact that since IT IS YOUR TERRITORY and no efforts to better the living standards, particularly when the majority don't want to be with India, shouldn't you be pointing your fingers elsewhere? rkrc, I know what you mean. I read on and on of the Hindu extremists and their intolerance and their influence in Indian politics. At the same time, I don't really have all the positive things to say about Pakistan either, especially when you get "hanged" for "blasphemy" (usually for "burning Quran"). I think religion is in the HEART, not what you may go by. And NO ONE should suffer for defaming a religion, unless they PHYSICALLY ASSAULT AND VANDALIZE should they be taken to account.

In which case Azad Kashmir and Jammu become one state. But there could be "free trade" and both countries of India and Pakistan assist. ONLY THEN tension related TO THIS ISSUE can go down. I wouldn't rely on the "west" or the "British" as it is always in their interests to have our region in endless state of conflict, usually by provocations. Since GLOBALISTS and BANKING CARTELS run almost all of Europe and North America, and the world with stuff like IMF and WORLD BANK.

, Muslims have the history of leaving the "religions" and "cultures" intact. Yes, one fact is true that "Non-Muslims" were to pay "taxes", and yes no "non-Muslims" could be in top positions in the political arena. if this was SOO TRUE, then tell me one thing. When the Mughals ruled for over 1000 years, why DIDN'T THEY WIPE OUT ALL TEMPLES AND LITERALLY try to wipe out Hinduism from the Indian subcontinent during their reign? Ok there are some documented evidences of some intolerant Muslim rulers and generals, but overall when it comes to trying to ETHNICALLY "CLEANSING" the population like what the explorer as Christopher Columbus did to the "Natives" when he first came to the Americas.
