The Mouth examines what he likes to call The Tale Of Two Feeds examining one of the most dastardly deeds done to a Ranger EVER. On October 26t, 1987 Dave Brown of the Flyers delivered one of the most brutal crosschecks to the head of Ranger winger Thomas Sandstrom. The Ranger feed which is shown first has announcer John Davidson ready to call the police on Brown for his on ice decapitation attempt. The Second Clip which is the Flyer feed has Philly announcers Gene Hart and Bobby The Chief Taylor saying Sandstrom is not injured and merely Playing Dead. Typical Hart/Taylor bias and Homerism which was prevalent in Flyer broadcasts in the 70s and 80s. Brown received ONLY a 15 game suspension for his guillotine swipe at Sandstrom's neck.

  • It's tough to keep up with how many times Brown cross-checked Sandstrom. I think what should make you sick is that no Rangers went after Brown. Rangers were always pussies...

  • @gumbylips2008 You are right gumby the rangers have/had no testicular fortitude back then

  • Sandstrom was such a pussy !!!!!!!!

  • @phillyguy672 he ceetainly didint drop the gloves and was very cheap. But Dave Brown in this instance showed no courage

  • hart was a disgrace as well as the phiily fans in those days!!

  • @TheTzdope I dont think Philthy fans have made much progress :) Hart and Earle were ridiculous Homers.

  • I remember the next time Brown showed up at the Garden(To show off his skating skills),someone from the blue seats hung this huge banner that went from the blue seats to the red seats and it said:"DAVE BROWN EAT SHIT AND DIE"!!

  • JD at 5:15"This guy is a sick individual"!!

  • Hart was not a homer by any stretch of the imagination. He's the best play-by-play announcer in the history of the game.

I feel bad for Lundqvist, btw. He was the only one actually competing against the Caps in that series. Too bad he has a bunch of stiffs in front of him.

  • @phillyguy672 correct,it was probably 25 years ago,it was tocchet who mcphee got the best of.I wont even pay attention to the net tuff guy who insulted me..lol

  • @ezfla When was that ????????? I remember brown kicking his ass so bad that one of his teamates had to jump in !!!!!!!
