  • "To speak their names is to give them immortality."

Thank you for posting this. We must all remember names like Bayard Rustin, Alan Turing, Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates, Aristotle, Oscar Wilde & T.E. Lawrence. Remember all who have either been shunned or white washed by history. Remember who they were as human beings as well as what they have done for humanity.

  • Bayard Rustin was a great man. He was the brains behind the March on Washington. MLK owes a lot to Rustin. The only reason why we don't consider Bayard Rustin to be the greatest black American of all times is that he was gay.

  • MLK was a down low in the closet homosexual. Bayard Rustin was a up high out the closet homosexual. And YES they did have sex But the media does not want to talk about it

  • @Il00OOll So was MLK b/c he fucked bayrad

  • Remembered not forgotten....

  • Bayard Rustin was a great African American and a great Gay American. What do those two identities have in common? He was a great American!

  • Why do we even care what religion or government thinks about our relationships? Get government out of marriage and we will all be better off. More freedom for everyone. Government free marriage now!

  • "Officially sanctioned racism." In America? I guess history is sometimes forgotten. People have used the power of our government in the past to sanction immorality and some peeple at that time thought it was right. And others thought it was wrong and stood up for their principles even though it cost them dearly.

MLK opposed Viet Nam and was for peace, but President Obama is a war time president and to oppose him on priciple takes courage.

  • Rustin is my new hero.

  • @Blackaveli1 Dude, you're just perpetuating the hate. You're shooting yourself in the foot.
