  • @windrix1 You're referring to Malcom McLaren, who designed some cool clothes and manipulated the media a bit, but had nothing to do with the music or the attitude. Punk came from Richard Hell, from the Stooges, from the Ramones, from the MC5, from Johnny Rotten et al, but NOT from that jive clown McLaren!

  • This guy definitely has my attention and more important...my RESPECT.

  • Blablabla! Let the people who where there at the time at the spot...talk!

  • So true what he said. I say that all the time. Its not Hip Hop anymore, its Hip Pop.

  • Dude is a legend. That is all.

  • He's so fucking cool!

  • My dear friends, so you need listen to "Los Saicos", a 65's peruvian band, in "Demoler (1965) (Demolición)" or "El Entierro De Los Gatos (1965)" for example... proto punk? I don't know but the sound and the attitude is extremly advanced for those years... 1 9 6 5 !!!

  • @windrix1

    Don't forget Bernie Rhodes

  • Actually skinhead was more of a learned culture than a shared one. The original skinhead culture started in JA in the 60s. Uk working class youth related to the culture and loved the music so much that they embraced it as its own. And then came that horrible evolution that brought racism into the mix. Don letts pretty much hit the nail on the head with his statement about punk and reggae sharing culture....he lived in the moment...must have been awesome!

  • what are you on about?

it wasnt started by one person

  • brilliant thoughts from a good man. Nice job on the video!
