But I love Haiti Bcuz I know If it wasnt for the Haitians wining there Indepence from Slavery we would probably still be slave til this day .PLUS Some Haitians went to new orleans after they won their INDEPENDENCE to help the Black Americans Fight their civil war Which Is never acknoledged in our American History books

besides, I seriously DOUBT what you said about the firefighters not having water and the Dominican media making fun of it and if it happened, shame on them. If you actually live in the DR, you damn-well know that there are quite a few fire departments on this side barely-equipped and with issues of their own when fighting a fire and having water pressure problems and the like, to be making fun of Haitian firefighters in the first place.

@alphaphi09 I know what you mean. The international media when they go to Hati they go straight to Cité Soleil. Here in the Dominican Republic, the media made fun of Haiti when they showed Haitian firefighters did not have water to extinguish a building on fire. But us Haitians we need to show the positive side of Haiti in the attempt to attract not only tourists but the diaspora. We have children of the diaspora who barely speak creole or french and don't even know what Haiti looks like.
