When I saw this it reminded me of Little Britain. Or should I say I guess Little Britain reminds me of 'A bit of Fry and Laurie'. Even the intros are very similar.
Ps. I love Stephen Fry! But lets all be honest. He makes a very unattractive woman.

Maybe Fry is a fan of Alan Bennett, but I still hate his one-dimensional mockery of a northern accent, always doing it with a burr. He does this all the time on QI.
The sketch is still hilarious.

Oh,cripes,lol.Listen,I'm 50,my bladder can't handle stuff like this! Stephen Fry is absolutely genius.And I'm sure Alan Bennett,& Victoria Wood roared themselves hoarse if they watched it. I don't recall ever having seen this,so it's a real treat to see it!

Keeping reference to Alan - Alan Bennett who wrote the talking heads, this is a talking head. Write down everything I say, its golds. Bennetts ideas are gold.

the background before the sketch starts looks as though its from the last series of A bit Of Fry and Laurie but I dont recall this sketch being in it....

It is from A Bit of Fry and Laurie but I don't know what season. They're currently being repeated on Satellite TV. I'd seen this years ago and always hoped I'd get to see it again.
I don't think it was ever a personal attack against Alan Bennett; I believe Mr Fry is a huge fan of his work!
