The Gold Run segment after such an amazing tiebreaker, which led to only 4 hexagons unchosen. After the Gold Run, a new match begins with newcomer Debbie Carlson, who actually isn't that much of a newcomer anyway. Debbie was on Blockbusters during the first week as a champion, and in the match she lost unfortunately, there was a little discrepancy that the show didn't feel treated her fairly, so Debbie has been invited back for another go at it in this final part of this segment of Blockbusters
Am I the only one who's noticed that both Janet and Debbie are wearing red challenger's name tags?

I must say about the "progressive" jackpot is sort of a misnomer. Having the contestant winning all the money they could have won gives them the benefit of the doubt. It may be more fair than someone taking a jackpot that you have missed 5 times. Still it defeats the meaning of a progressive jackpot; I know Mark is saving up for Concentration so maybe that's it and what Barry/Enright was thinking during Hot Potato. Looks like Debbie's return might be short lived. 3.5 stars.

This episode was shown on 2/18/1987, and the one where Debbie from the first week of the series comes back after a discrepancy with a question. GSN will not get that far this time around, since the show will be gone by April 2009 and the show will have completed the entire month of January 1987, but the show may come back and continue to the end..
