@mlj2231 I'm diggin the zx14 finally though, took me about 4 years to get used to the headlights, now the 2012 version is even more amazing. The used 12R will probably have 5 year old brake fluid in it....at least from what I"m seeing available. I'd go new ZX14 especially when 200mph might be rolling up. Unseen issues or old suspension components aren't worth it. 12R will always be great but forcing it back from the dead is dangerous! ride safe.
@mlj2231 I had to look up what you are talking about. It seems the Hayabusa was the problem not the 12R. "....In 2000, fears of a European regulatory backlash or import ban led to an informal agreement between the Japanese and European manufacturers to govern the top speed of their motorcycles at an arbitrary limit.....Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R of 2000 fell 4 mph (6 km/h) short of claiming the title....."
@viasevenvai they had to stop selling them in the US after 04 i think because it goes over 300kmh which is 180mph and the US and Japan had an agreement that any motorcycle that goes over 300kmh stock can not be sold in the US
i have got 2000 model, with race exhaust and KN air filter, yeah baby, thats it. 0-10km/h is very faaast. my max speed with gps !! is 310 km/h. great bike. but only my from 2000 with no restrict.
zx12r is still one of my favorite looking motorcycles. If those front fins it had worked so well for down-force how come we never see them anymore? I might have heard of them dragging on the ground if I remember correctly.
@mlj2231 I totally agree!
