Day after day, week after week, year after year, hundreds of people go to gyms and when all is said and done look the way they did coming out as when they went in. Why is that, they work out every day, they lift weights, they even take their favorite classes seven days a week, yet there are no measurable results.
Stop and think if this applies to you, what is you frequency for going to the gym? Are you seeing the results you desire, if the answer is no then it may be time for some education.
Is there a favorite class or activity you love to do? How much do you really know about that activity? Could you learn more? If the answer is yes then it may be time for some education so you can learn to do the activity you enjoy in the best way possible so years from now you can continue to enjoy the activity.
Consider getting certified in a format of a class you love to teach. There is no obligation to teach the format upon completing the certification. It is more for your own personal knowledge base. Better understanding the format you love to do will better equip you with ways to best perform the format and really get the workout you need and the results you want in a safe way you can do for years to come.
Consider taking the AFAA primary group fitness certification. You will never need to teach a group class, and really, who cares if you pass or not? It will really give you the skill set you need to understand your body, the way it works and moves, and find a way to tailor a workout routine to your body so that day by day, week by week, year by year, you do get the results you want!!
