  • Its not as bad as you might think. Also, do you really think one of the main reasons players go to FNM is for the MPR cards? I'm pretty sure its for the FNM promos or the ability to play at a semi-competitive level. Seriously, ask your friends, and see how many were actually signed up for MPR... not that many,

  • @agstrauss yeah some of my buddies at the store dont have the MPR Register. Your right about that. I am just wonder what is next? Better FNM Cards?? like rare ones? Well I hear the Past MPR Promos will go up in price now. which is not a bad thing. Well its amazing change though.

  • Well that makes me a bit sad. I liked the whole player rewards thing but I'm not to mad about it, just a bit sad : (

  • @TheDrownedgod I agree. It would be wonderful to have employees play at sanctioned events! But, also remember, regarding the MPR, its not being removed to punish players, its to prevent things like fraud (which is pretty prevalent). I will say there is a very good likelihood that FNM and other promo cards will get way better. In other words, you know how currently we've been seeing things like Anathemancer which aren't that useful?

  • @agstrauss I don't play for the MPR cards but, I will say this; after I signed up for the rewards, I started playing in as many tournaments as I could afford to, which was 4 to 6 times a week. I was very excited to get the rewards in the mail. It is sad that they took the program away. I think Wizards should not only allow their employees to play in tournaments but, mandate it. That way they can have first hand experience with the majority of players, not just the pros and the causal ones.

  • trinket mage? and first?
