You look at something you don't understand and think about how it must be intelligent. It's possible that the laws of nature could be better... you can't prove that idea wrong or right or you can't prove god's existence or non existence. Another thought experiment: does god understand the things that man builds? If you claim he understands the laws of physics, that doesn't allow you to claim he understands their APPLICATION. To do so would be bias... so do you have any proof of this?

Few hundred? Try thousands. And that percentage would change if you asked scientists if they believe in macroevolution. Everyone agrees animals change overtime. What's in question is whether or not they change to the point of generating new species. That's where the disagreement starts.

I hesitate to rate the Big Bang Theory as goingaainst the Bible, as a christian priest originally created the theory in the first place, to explain how god made the universe. The thoery was altered to favor naturalist thinking. And all the theories you listed that go against the Bible are questionable and unlikely at absolute best.

You say Evolution is the ONLY scientific theory that goes against the bible and then you bring up the Big Bang in the same breath. There are dozens if not hundreds of theories that go against every piece of the creation story alone. Age of the Earth, Order in which things were created, How the Earth was created, How humanity came into existence, etc. And that's not even getting into other items like archaeological finds that dispute the gospels...

There is no hot debate. Evolution is not a "theory" in the way you presented it. Your few hundred scientists represent .023% of scientists. 99.9% of scientists accept evolution. Darwin's "Theory" of evolution is not a question as to whether evolution happens...the evidence is overwhelming that it does if you look at ALL the evidence and not just the evidence presented by people that agree with you. Darwin's "Theory" of evolution is a theory as to HOW it happens...not whether or not it happens.

Logical understanding is what drives mainstream science and mainstream science is having a wide consensus on evolution. It's not that I don't understand the arguments against evolution setup by creationists. The problem with the arguments is that they are flawed and debunked endlessly. If you had an argument that was valid against evolution, you would be the first one. Totally dumb arguments are still used like "evolution violates the second law of thermodynamics". It's totally ignorant.

No sensible person would be convinced by this 'everything is so complicated, oh my god!' argument. Ignorance might be bliss but it is also stupid. These are exactly the type of arguments Flew rejected when he was in his prime, its sad really.
