Hi, I am finishing up my Mini and would like to know if you had to get the FAA to certify or is this light enough for ultralight class?

Nice videos; didn't see an "N" Number. Obviously it doesn't fall under the perview of FAR Part 103 (254 lbs or less). That is unless you have a balistic chute installed, that would give you, what, another 26 lbs (as I recall) that would be 280 lbs empty weight. But the engine doesn't sound like a 277 which might get you down to 280. Just curious. If it is N numbered, I offer my humble apologies. My EROS Mini-max (10 years old now) came in at 396 empty. Inspections are a pain, for sure.

Where'd you find the droop tips?

I did the hand brake.. Works GREAT. I fly both off unimproved and paved and never had a need for differential braking. (flycory is my youtube channel, you can see mine there)

thanks for the info.

nice flying!! I'm working on a minimax myself.
This minimax wasn't built by a kit, it was built from the plans so it has some modifications, two fuel tanks, added structural reinforcements, etc. The tips were fabricated

Yes, there are heel brakes installed on the minimax, and I would highly recommend them, unless you have endless and endless amounts of landing area
