Joe: [tapping his fingers on his desk, staring off into space]
Demi: [watches as his fingers hit the desk in perfect rhythm] Joe
Joe: [looks up at her,mumbles] hmm?
Demi: [a bit concerned]is something bothering you?
Joe: What? No!
Demi: Is it about Nick?
Joe: No. Nick is always an ass.
Demi: [doesn't believe him] You know Joe, I have ham in my lunch. If you tell me the truth, I'll let you have some. [takes it out for him to see.]
Joe:[tempted by the deli meat inches away from his face]
Demi: Now i'm gonna ask you again....is this about Nick?
Joe: [Gives into his temptation and grabs the ham out of her grasp]YES!! ALRIGHTT!! IT'S ABOUT NICK!!
Demi: He has been acting strange...Do you think that this is about Selena?
Joe: [speaking with his mouthful] I don't know..I asked him about the letter and he got really sad and just said it said goodbye...
Demi: [suspicious] hmmm...do you know where it is?
Joe: [puts another slice of ham in his mouth] probably in his locker, room or the trash..it has to be one of those.
Demi: [an evil smirk appears on her face]
Joe: [scared of what she has planned] What are you thinking?
Demi:[chuckles] I'm an office aid...I could easily get into Nick's locker...
Joe: [swallows his mouthful] NO. NO WAY. I'M NOT MESSING WITH THE NEW NICK. HE FRIGHTENS ME...
Demi: he won't mess with you if he doesn't know what happened...
Joe: do you have any more ham?
Demi: [reaches in her bag and pulls out another piece of ham]
Joe: ahh..jeez...the things you get me to do with ham..

Before school

Selena: [fiddles with Nick's necklace, hesitant to whether or not she should where it, after staring out it for 5 minutes, she decides to put it on]

Selena: [gets her new locker combination, scans the area, searching for her locker]
David: Do you need help?
Selena: [looks over to where the direction of the voice was coming from, lets out a sigh of relief] YES. [smiles and hands him the locker number and combination]
David: [leads her to her new locker]
Selena: Thank you --- umm...oh gosh... i don't even know your name...
David: I'm David [puts out his hand]
Selena: i'm Selena[Shakes it]
David: [looks into her eyes] It's really nice too meet you.
Selena: It's Nick to meet you too. [corrects herself] i mean nice....it's NICE to meet you too. Sorry about that...
David: [grins] it's fine. [changes the subject] So...Do you need anymore help getting around school?
Selena: uh..yeah...Where's the bathroom?
David: Down the hall to the left....or right for you.
Selena: I'm sure I can figure it out...Thanks...[walks into the bathroom, into the big stall, takes out her cell phone and calls Nick]

Miley: So I was thinking that after school we can go get a smoothie or something..
Nick: I can't..I've got football practice..
Miley: or maybe we can go--
Nick: all this week..Saturday's our game...and Sunday I have to rest...God says so..
Miley: [sighs..] whatever.
Nick: [phone rings with a familiar ringtone, takes it out of his pocket hoping it wasn't the person he thought it was, he looked at the caller id, sure enough there was Selena's name, he immediately become sad, he stared at the two options: answer or ignore, reluctantly he pressed ignore, trying to hide the tear forming it's way down his face ]
